If the issue was a firefighter being told she could only wear her headscarf underneath the firefighter helmet, would you claim it was an attempt to stiffle her religious freedom? Or keep her from getting smashed in the head by a chunk of ddebris. In both the military and fire brigade, a downed individual is more than just their problem. Its the units problem. If she went into a combat zone not wearing military headgear, and took shrapnel to the head, others in her unit are at risk saving her.
