U.S. Military Taught Officers: Use ‘Hiroshima’ Tactics for ‘Total War’ on Islam
The U.S. military taught its future leaders that a “total war” against the world’s 1.4 billion Muslims would be necessary to protect America from Islamic terrorists, according to documents obtained by Danger Room. Among the options considered for that conflict: using the lessons of “Hiroshima” to wipe out whole cities at once, targeting the “civilian population wherever necessary.”
The course, first reported by Danger Room last month and held at the Defense Department’s Joint Forces Staff College, has since been canceled by the Pentagon brass. It’s only now, however, that the details of the class have come to light. Danger Room received hundreds of pages of course material and reference documents from a source familiar with the contents of the class.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff recently ordered the entire U.S. military to scour its training material to make sure it doesn’t contain similarly hateful material, a process that is still ongoing. But the officer who delivered the lectures, Army Lt. Col. Matthew A. Dooley, still maintains his position at the Norfolk, Virginia college, pending an investigation. The commanders, lieutenant colonels, captains and colonels who sat in Dooley’s classroom, listening to the inflammatory material week after week, have now moved into higher-level assignments throughout the U.S. military.

In the same presentation, Dooley lays out a possible four-phase war plan to carry out a forced transformation of the Islam religion. Phase three includes possible outcomes like “Islam reduced to a cult status” and “Saudi Arabia threatened with starvation.” (It’s an especially ironic suggestion, in light of today’s news that Saudi intelligence broke up the most recent al-Qaida bombing plot.)
International laws protecting civilians in wartime are “no longer relevant,” Dooley continues. And that opens the possibility of applying “the historical precedents of Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki” to Islam’s holiest cities, and bringing about “Mecca and Medina[’s] destruction.”
Dooley’s ideological allies have repeatedly stated that “mainstream” Muslims are dangerous, because they’re “violent” by nature. Yet only a few of al-Qaida’s most twisted fanatics were ever caught musing about wiping out entire cities.

Fifty-six percent of domestic terrorist attacks and plots in the U.S. since 1995 have been perpetrated by right-wing extremists, as compared to 30 percent by ecoterrorists and 12 percent by Islamic extremists. Right-wing extremism has been responsible for the greatest number of terrorist incidents in the U.S. in 13 of the 17 years since the Oklahoma City bombing.
After DHS withdrew the report, the department cut the number of analysts studying non-Islamic domestic terrorism. Daryl Johnson, the primary author of the report and a self-described Republican, soon left his post at DHS and said in July, 2011 that DHS has “just one person” dealing with domestic terrorism. The Department has largely been silent on domestic terrorist threats ever since.
Although current statistics show that right-wing extremism is on the rise through groups like the Sovereign Citizen and Patriot movements, domestic counterterrorism continues to receive few resources and little public attention. Though Islamic extremism remains a significant domestic security threat, current statistics and incidents such as Oklahoma City show that it is far from the only threat. In order to protect American citizens, we need to match our resources to the reality of our threats, not just the politically expedient narratives we have formed.

Bollywood superstar SHAH RUKH KHAN, addressing a group of students at Yale University. Khan was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers for more than an hour at White Plains Airport in Westchester County, NY.
In 2009, Khan — who is Muslim — had also been detained by federal officials at Newark Airport while on his way to promote a film… about racial profiling of Muslims after 9/11.
American embassy officials in New Delhi issued an apology; U.S. CBP officials wouldn’t discuss the case, because, you know, why discuss racial profiling if you don’t have to?

Sign the Petition: Zuhdi Jasser does not belong on the USCIRF
Self-proclaimed representative of the Muslim community and Islamophobe-darling Zuhdi Jasser has been appointed to the US Commission on International Religious Freedom. The Washington Post reports:
More than 50 Muslim and non-Muslim civic and religious groups asked leading senators on Thursday (April 12) to rescind the appointment of an outspoken Muslim activist, Zuhdi Jasser, to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.
Jasser, a Navy-trained physician, is decrying the effort – and others to oust him from the independent watchdog panel – as a “smear tactic.” […]
The signatories to the letter, sent to three key senators, argue that Jasser’s rhetoric and activism contribute to a culture that treats Muslims as suspects, and that he would subvert the work of the bipartisan commission, which advises federal officials on the status of religious freedom abroad.
“His consistent support for measures that threaten and diminish religious freedoms within the United States demonstrates his deplorable lack of understanding of and commitment to religious freedom and undermines the USCIRF’s express purpose,” they wrote.
They cite Jasser’s effort to prevent the construction of an Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero, his support for the New York Police Department’s spying on Muslim institutions, and his defense of anti-Shariah laws, which most Muslim civil rights groups say unfairly paint Muslims as anti-American.”
Jasser also regularly receives funding from organizations that work tirelessly to curb the religious and civil liberties of Muslims in the USA, he was the sole Muslim witness in the Peter King hearings, and he was the narrator of infamous film The Third Jihad. Sign the petition at the source!

Denmark set for anti-Islam rally
Far-right groups from across Europe are due to hold a rally in Denmark aimed at setting up what they term an anti-Islamic alliance across the continent.
The demonstration has been organised by the English Defence League (EDL) which says it wants to halt what it calls the “Islamification of Europe”.
The EDL said it hoped it would be the start of a Europe-wide movement.
Campaigners against racism are worried that hardline Islamaphobic groups in Europe are now joining forces.
Extremist group
The number of people attending the rally in Denmark is likely to be small.
But analysts say what is more important is that many are the leaders of anti-islamic groups from a variety of European countries.
Some have been in the Danish city of Aarhus since Wednesday where they have had a chance to hold meetings and discuss ideas.
The main organiser of the rally is the EDL which wants to stop Muslim migration into Europe all together, viewing it as a threat which will lead to conflict.
The group hopes Saturday’s rally will create a pan-European movement which will hold demonstrations in different countries at the same time.
EDL leader Stephen Lennon said a few hundred people would attend.
“We’re not expecting big numbers in Aarhus,” he said. “We hope it will be the start of a European movement that will continue to grow.”
Increase tensions
BBC World Affairs correspondent Richard Galpin says it is not clear if the EDL will succeed with the aims of the rally.
But anti-racism campaigners already fear the hardline anti-Islamic rhetoric being used will increase tensions in European cities and encourage extremists on both sides.
Nottingham University’s Matthew Goodwin, an expert on far-right groups in Britain, said the meeting would be strategically significant even if the numbers were not.
“What we are seeing here for the first time in British political history is an anti-Muslim far-right organisation taking the lead in trying to mobilise pan-European opposition to Islam,” he said.
Police in Aarhus said the rally would be kept apart from an expected counter-demonstration by anti-racism campaigners.
Police Superintendent Mogens Brondum said: “The police can and will handle this situation. We will be out massively.”
The reality today is that the far-right poses a very real and increasing threat to European societies - as we saw exemplified, in the tragic shootings in Norway by Brievik not too long ago.
The threat is far more evident than the supposed ‘Muslim threat’ which we waste so many of our resources on, and which groups like this are fixated on; media moral panics and governments are targeting and scapegoating minorities, who are increasingly integrated in countries they truly consider home.
The Islamophobic far right are actively murdering people on the continent, and are worryingly starting to garner “mainstream” political success and sympathies.
With the far-right threat being ignored and slowly being allowed to fester on the sidelines, It’s no surprise that otherwise perfectly law-abiding and peaceful Muslims majority are facing discrimination as a daily occurrence - from here in Europe, to the US too - Islamophobic discourse has almost become a staple of elements within the Right.
Callous parades of ignorance and proud displays of bigotry such as this parade help no one, and solve no problems in the debates around multiculturalism and integration…. caught in between the Breivik’s and the Merah’s are the peaceful and law-abiding moderate Muslim majority - who face the consequences of disgusting actions on both sides.
Shaima Alawadi: Iraqi Muslim Woman Severely Beaten, Note Near Her Body Read, “Go back to your own country. You’re a terrorist.”

A hijab wearing Iraqi woman has been severely beaten and is not expected to recover from a violent attack on her inside of her home near San Diego.
Apparently this was a premeditated attack. A similar note to the one found by Shaima Alawadi’s body was found by the Alawadi family earlier this month, but the family dismissed it as a “prank.”
USAToday reports:
A family friend, Sura Alzaidy, told the newspaper UT San Diego that the attack apparently occurred after the father took the younger children to school.
Was someone scoping the house out before the attack, waiting for an opportune moment to strike?
A woman’s life has most likely been taken as she is not expected to survive the gruesome attack. What motivated this individual to do something so grisly? If what Alzaidy told the newspaper is true, and we see no reason why it wouldn’t be, clearly we are witnessing an attack motivated by hatred and bigotry.
Islamophobes will try and claim another Muslim did this, but how then do they explain the note?
California: Muslim woman’s attacker left note reading ‘Go back to your own country. You’re a terrorist’
A 32-year-old woman was critically injured and not expected to survive after an assault in her El Cajon home on Wednesday, police said Friday, and a threatening note telling the mother of five to go back to her home country was found near her, a family friend said.
The woman’s 17-year-old daughter found her unconscious in the dining room of the house on Skyview Street off Lemon Avenue about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, said El Cajon police Lt. Steve Shakowski. Police identified her as Shaima Alawadi.
“Based on the type of injuries Alawadi sustained, and other evidence retrieved at the scene, this case is being investigated as a homicide,” Shakowski said.
Police did not disclose the contents of the note. Sura Alzaidy, a family friend, said it told the family to “go back to your own country. You’re a terrorist.” The family is from Iraq, and Alawadi is a “respectful modest muhajiba,” meaning she wears the traditional hijab, a head scarf, Alzaidy said.
El Cajon police Lt. Mark Coit said the family stated they had found a similar note earlier this month, however did not report it to authorities.
The daughter who found her mother told KUSI Channel 9/51 on Friday night that her mother had been beaten on the head repeatedly with a tire iron. She said her mother had dismissed the previous note, found outside the house, thinking it was a child’s prank.
According to twitter, Shaima Alawadi has succumbed to her injuries.

Poll: New Yorkers Approve of NYPD’s Muslim Surveillance/White’s Approve of Stop And Frisk Policy
Today happens to be the tenth anniversary of NYPD Order 11, the bit of police code that specifically prohibits profiling. Meanwhile, the department remains embroiled in controversy over its Muslim surveillance program, which many civil liberties advocates have called tantamount to racial profiling. And yet ordinary New Yorkers still don’t seem terribly concerned.
A new poll, shows that 82 percent of voters think the NYPD has been effective in dealing with terrorism.
The Quinnipiac University survey found that 82 percent of respondents thought that the NYPD had been effective in its counter-terrorism efforts. Asked whether the NYPD dealt with Muslims fairly or targeted them unfairly, 58 percent thought the NYPD was appropriate, while 29 percent thought police were unfair and 13 percent didn’t know or had no answer.
The 29 percent is a slight jump up from the 24 percent who thought the police were unfairly targeting Muslims in a February poll.
Overall, 63 percent of those surveyed approved of way police are doing their job, although when asked about the controversial policy for stopping, questioning and frisking people, only 46 percent approved while 49 percent disapproved.
The tactics have raised questions over whether the NYPD is ignoring the civil rights of Muslims and illegally engaging in religious and ethnic profiling. The U.S. Justice Department is considering whether to investigate the NYPD’s surveillance efforts.
In terms of the stop-and-frisk policy, 59 percent of white people surveyed approved of it, while only 27 percent of black people did. Blacks and Hispanics make up the vast majority of those stopped.
Quinnipiac polled 964 New York City voters from March 6-11. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
